work

Decided to work at fox during this school year. On the day after my interview (today), RS dropped their version of live valve. Not gonna talk about it here, but it’s pretty fucking cool . Overall, it just seems like a super polished version of what the fox crew is trying to do with live valve. This timing is just crazy.

The pay is supposedly 25/hr. I think I’m going to ask the HR person if they could do 30 for a homie. Somewhat predictably, I didn’t see a single POC in the entire building. The only female I saw was the receptionist. All of the usual shit they say about the bike industry being a boy’s club is completely accurate.

Anyways, I think it’s a super cool opportunity and so I’m going to latch on to it and work as hard as I can to make it work for me. Even if the job isn’t exactly what I’m trying to do right now, the small team atmosphere means that I will always be able to move around and do what I want to. I was also assured that this could translate into a full time role, even though I’m not trying to work in the bike industry for the rest of my life.

Nobody reads this crap anyways but I think I’m kinda over the whole bike thing. I think it’s time for me to make the transition to cars and motorcycles like everyone else seems to do. Maybe switch to bigger bikes now that I’m going to be working for FOX? I dunno, we will see.
